Out of all the live action remakes that Disney has been releasing, I think I’m most excited about Mulan! I remember watching the original animated film in 1998 and leaving the theatre with the ultimate feeling of girl power. Although the Mulan remake will bring a new set of costumes to life, here is a Mulan costume adult and Disney bound dedicated to the beloved classic.

A GIRL WORTH FIGHTING FOR
To honor the selfless heroine, this Mulan costume takes inspiration from when she is first introduced in the film. From the start, we admire Mulan’s quick-witted and endearing personality. This Mulan dress is bold, yet flowy and feminine.
TO GET THE LOOK
I paired a green wrap blouse with a soft yellow ankle shirt, and connected them with a wide elastic belt to represent Mulan’s Hanfu, or Chinese kimono. The red belt on top is actually a longer satin neck scarf, which worked perfectly in this Mulan costume / Mulan Disneybound.
TRUSTY SIDEKICKS
While we are unsure if the Mulan Disney live action remake will involve the Cri-Kee and Mushu, I had to pay homage to the loveable lucky cricket and comical dragon in this Mulan costume. My accessories include a fun birdcage purse and fiery red tassel earrings.
TRUE TO YOUR HEART
I’m going to miss the musical numbers that helped bring the animated story to life in the 1998 animated film. There were so many iconic songs and moments, my favorite being “I’ll Make a Man Out of You.” I especially love how they brought it back at the climax when Mulan convinces her fellow warriors to enter the palace disguised as women. I still find myself bursting out with that song when I’m faced with a task at hand.
I’m so glad I finally got a chance to go Disney bounding as one of my favorite Disney princesses with this Mulan Costume! I am beyond excited to watch the Mulan 2020 release, and marvel in the visuals and legendary Asian Cast. 🙌 Outfit details can be found below.
